
Roy Imperio
Piano Instructor
Roy Imperio has been concertized as a piano soloist, collaborative pianist, accompanist, and chamber musician in the United States, Canada, Mexico, England, France, Russia, Ukraine, Hong Kong, and throughout the Philippines. Passionate about chamber music, he co-founded ensembles such as the Windhammer Chamber Players and the Bulfinch Players. He continues to perform in New England with Trio Orione, the Nashaway Trio, and Imperio in Stereo, a piano duo with his son, Kristjon. In 2001, he made his premiere CD album for flute, guitar, and piano with the Bulfinch Players, “Holiday Music in New England,” and in 2010 his first piano solo album, “Music of Frederic Chopin: a Life of Passion.” His recent CDs, “Seleksiyon” featuring piano arrangements of Filipino folk tunes by Augusto Espino, and “Music from Four Continents” with cellist, Dr. Ning Tien were released in 2017. He has served as a Music Professor at Atlantic Union College and as a collaborative pianist at Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Currently, he teaches piano at the Thayer Conservatory, Pes Center, and 77 Arts Academy in So. Acton, and at the Fitchburg State University Community Music Lesson Program. He is also an organist at the First Congregational Church in Gardner.
Fun Fact: Mr. Imperio plays volleyball daily and is renovating his 1799 home …but wants to relay that he is unavailable for carpentry jobs!
